Migration and Development - Presentation

The presentation by Shahidul Haque, Regional Representative for IOM Regional Office for South Asia, discuss the nexus between migration and development and focuses on the impact of migration on development objectives. If managed properly, migration can play a significant role in sustainable development and poverty reduction in origin countries, and in alleviating demographic and economic challenges in destination countries. The need to reach greater integration of migration and development policies to maximize the impact of migration on development objectives for all stakeholders is also discussed.
