ADBI Dean Masahiro Kawai gave the welcome remarks at the Labor Market in the PRC and its Adjustment to Global Financial Crisis conference held at ADBI, Tokyo from 18 to 19 June 2009. He discussed the PRC’s emergence as an important global economic power over the last decade and challenges it is currently facing from the impact of the global financial crisis.
