Doo Yong Yang
Research Fellow

Brief Biography

Doo Yong Yang joined ADBI in January 2008 after serving as a research fellow at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy. Previously, he has worked as a consultant for the Asian Development Bank, senior research fellow for the Bank for International Settlements, and an economic advisor for the Minister of Planning and Budget of the Republic of Korea.

Internal finance is his field of research. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has published several papers and is contributor of several book chapters, including “Dilemma of Exchange Rate Management in East Asia, with Eiji Ogawa, Japan and World Economy, 2006, "Financial Market Integration in East Asia: Regional or global?", Asian Economic Paper, MIT press 2006, and "Optimal Monetary Policy in a Small Open Economy", Journal of Asian Economics, 2007.

He is currently working on the managing capital flows and infrastructure financing projects.
