Venkatachalam Anbumozhi
Capacity Building Specialist

Brief Biography

Venkatachalam Anbumozhi joined ADBI in December 2008 after serving as Project Manager and Senior Policy Researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, Kobe, Japan. His previous positions include Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo (1999-2004), Assistant Manager and Senior Engineer in Pacific Consultants International, Tokyo (1995-1999), and Research Associate in Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, (1991-1992). A distinguished fellow of Asia Pacific Rim University Forum on Development and Environment, he also advised JICA, JBIC, APO, and UNESCAP projects on sustainable development. He has published several books, authored numerous research articles and produced many project reports on natural resource management, environment friendly infrastructure design, and public-private partnership for sustainable development. He obtained his PhD from the University of Tokyo.
