Grant Stillman
Legal Adviser

Brief Biography

Grant B. Stillman has been ADBI's legal adviser for most of the Institute's existence except for a midcareer sabbatical at the Geneva Institute of International and Development Studies. He has worked as a Wall Street lawyer and for the UN and OECD. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Australia.

His books include Regional Cooperation and Culture in Asia-Pacific for the UN University and NGO Law and Governance, which has been in ADBI's top 10 downloads since its publication.

Mr. Stillman was also the officer in charge of the original Developing Asia Journalism Awards, e-newsline and think tanks directory teams. Other major legal and administrative assignments have been the revision of ADBI's Statute to accept trust funds and the establishment of various categories of contractual personnel.

He graduated with his B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Melbourne. He earned an LL.M. in international law from the Georgetown University Law Center and holds a Ph.D. degree from Monash University.
